Dr. Nicolas Watkins is remembered as a brilliant and extremely accomplished chemist. Nic graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with highest honors from his beloved GA Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA) in 2016. Nic then joined the PhD Chemistry program at Northwestern University (Chicago, IL) where he earned some of the most competitive graduate honors, including induction into the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society and a fellowship with the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). In addition, he published 11 co-authored papers and one first-author paper. Nic was awarded a PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University in 2023.
